The first song of Shakib Khan and Mimi Chakraborty-starrer film “Toofan” has officially been unveiled. The track titled “Laage Ura Dhura” was released on Tuesday.
The movie "Toofan" is directed by Raihan Rafi and brought to you by Alpha-i, Chorki and SVF.
The track stars Bangladeshi megastar Shakib Khan and the enthralling Bengali star Mimi Chakraborty, whose electric chemistry and mesmerizing dance moves not only get you grooving but also bring a taste of blockbuster flair to the dance floor.
Their dynamic performances perfectly capture the broad appeal of mainstream cinema.
"Laage Ura Dhura" is performed by the outstanding Pritom Hasan, known for his chart-topping tracks and memorable appearances on Coke Studio Bangladesh, along with Debosrie Antara.
Pritom's contribution goes beyond his singing here, his on-screen presence charms young audiences, solidifying his status as a complete package.
Debutant directors Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha's film offers an adrenaline-fueled ride through the skies. The setup is slow and bumpy, but once the plane is hijacked, the tension mounts quickly.
Despite a predictable storyline, the movie has a fair amount of exciting moments and twists and turns to keep you engaged. And Sidharth Malhotra expertly navigates the highs and lows of a determined soldier caught in the crossfires of duty and suspicion.
The story unfolds with Arun Katyal, a proud son determined to carry on the legacy of his father's (Ronit Roy) special task force, Yodha.
However, after failing at a critical mission, he is on board a hijacked flight under mysterious circumstances. All evidence points to him being on a revenge mission against the system that has taken everything from him.

Sagar Ambre's screenplay keeps viewers engrossed, drawing them into the tense atmosphere of the aircraft, where the majority of the action unfolds.
While the mid-air stunts are thrilling, the film suffers from predictability and clichéd plot twists, lacking depth in exploring themes of courage and patriotism.
However, the film is well-edited, so it stays the course and never feels stretched. There is also subtle humour peppered through the narrative.
There are some heavy-duty dialogues like “Main rahu na rahu, desh rahega," but the lighter moments in the screenplay balance that out.
The music is average, barring Ammy Virk and B Praak's reprised version ‘Qismat Badal Di.’ The background score blends well with the genre.
After the reel-life portrayal of the war hero Vikram Batra in Shershaah, Sidharth returns as commando Arun Katyal in Yodha, showcasing his competence as an action hero.
The movie majorly rests on his shoulders. Raashii Khanna pulls off the part of playing Arun's love interest with ease. Disha Patani plays a pivotal role as an air hostess caught amid the hostage drama.
Tanuj Virwani, another commando of the special task force, makes his presence felt in his limited role. Sunny Hinduja pulls off his role with confidence.
All said, Yodha’s action is thrilling, but it does not really take your imagination to the flight.

Captain Miller is one of the rarest film that tells the story of freedom struggle from the view point of an oppressed class. Dhanush gets three different looks in the film and he stands out tall among the sea of some brilliant performers.
Dhanush cult is sure to enjoy each and every mass scene written with finesse. Shivarajkumar as Dhanush’s brother Sengolan is a perfect choice. Despite differences in the cause they are fighting for, when they come together, they bring in an electrifying chemistry on big screen.
Shivarajkumar repeats the Jailer template in terms of his appearance in the film, but he has a bigger role to play here, especially during the climax.
Dhanush is perfectly aided by brilliant cast that includes sudeep Kishan, Priyanka Mohan, Aditi Balan, John Kokken, Edward Sonnenblick and Vinoth Kishan, who shine in their moments, but Dhanush hogs the limelight.
The movie doesn’t lag per se, but it is a bit slow for the genre the makers have decided to tell the story in, making it a poetic action film, with some fabulous camera work. The first half truly testes ones patience with the second half taking off with good action set pieces.
Yes, Dhanush is the lead of the film, but composer GV Prakash Kumar is indeed the hero of Captain Miller who manages to bring in emotions lacking in the film with his fabulous background score.
The elevation BGM is one of the best in the recent times and coupled with bullet sounds, the music hits the crescendo throughout the film. He has perfectly blended rural percussion with fusion that soothes as well as pump up the audience.
Coupled with Cinematographer Siddhartha Nuni’s fabulous long shots of confrontations, Captain Miller gives the old Hollywood vibe in some scenes - a composition you find in classic films. Arun is known for telling a violent story in his own way.
The film is filled with various action set pieces majorly involving gun violence, which may not be everyone’s cup of tea. Akin to Rocky and Saani Kaayidham, Miller is also about an underdog thrown around in the society, who raises like a phoenix, fighting the battle with the powerless.
The big moments aren’t big in a conventional sense, but they are big in scale and sense and are mostly painted with blood.
Staying true to signature Arun Matheshwara’s style of storytelling - like Sani Kaayidham - Captain Miller also has non-linear narration and broken up into 6 chapters and narrated in a non-linear fashion.
The sixth chapter hints at a sequel. With a socio-political undertone, just like his previous films, caste discrimination is what rakes up the story and ultimately conveys a message that is relevant even today, despite being set in the pre-Independence era.

In 1986, a film about a pilot who is given a second chance to redeem himself took the world by storm. Tom Cruise’s Top Gun set the benchmark for what an aerial action film involving planes should look like. Many tried to duplicate the formula but nothing came close to the original, until 2022, when Cruise made a comeback in a refurbished version of the franchise.
Siddharth Anand’s Fighter takes several cues from Top Gun to lay the foundation for what becomes a pacy story about valour, patriotism and celebrating the birds in the sky that protect our country. It doesn’t hurt that the cast is led by two good-looking actors -- Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone. But do the actors deliver or does their vanity come in the way of making Fighter a bonafide action caper? Let's find out.
If Rajkumar Hirani is the badshah of feel-good films and no one can match family dramas like Karan Johar, Siddharth Anand has carved a niche for himself with his larger-than-life, good-looking masala entertainers. With Fighter, that writing has taken a patriotic flavour.
Every time a film shifts to Kashmir and the Indo-Pakistan conflict, there is a certain template that is set. Siddharth Anand follows the cue but adds dollops of glamour, high-octane action scenes and loads of patriotism with ‘Vande Mataram' and 'Jai Hind’ playing in the background.
Anand has a way of introducing his men in his movies. Be it the stylish entry scene of SRK in Pathaan or even back in the day, how Hrithik Roshan blazed on screen in Bang Bang and even War. But in Fighter, he tries something different. He gives Deepika Padukone’s Minni a stellar entry scene before he brings in the big gun -- Hrithik Roshan’s Patty.
Given the scale of the film, the director doesn’t rush into the big action scenes. He spends most of the first half introducing us to the Air Force pilots. Led by Rakesh Jaisingh aka Rocky (Anil Kapoor), the unit of Air Dragons comprises of Minni (Deepika Padukone), Patty (Hrithik Roshan), Taj (Karan Singh Grover) and Bash (Akshay Oberoi).
The plot revolves around the Pulwama attack and incidents leading before and after the incident. In terms of storyline, Fighter flies high on the newfound love of filmmakers to weave in patriotic sentiment in a bonafide potboiler. The action scenes are the real hero of Fighter. Anand steers away from any Top Gun comparisons by creating an original palette for the big-ticket shots.
The first half has the right mix of emotion and action, but the second half nose dives before picking up just in time for the juicy climax. Deepika and Hrithik’s pairing is a winning master stroke. They not only look good as a pair, but also do justice to the characters when they are in uniform. There is a certain seriousness they bring to the table when they mean business. Anil Kapoor shows us why he’s the real boss. His scenes with Hrithik and the team are a major highlight.
Unlike the free spirit of Pathaan, Fighter feels a bit caught in its own web of trying to walk the thin line of being commercially viable without compromising on the integrity of its sentimental appeal. The scenes where we are given lessons on loving the nation or the wordplay that Patty indulges in get weary after a point. You want to see the birds in the sky but you need to be patient for those scenes.
What helps Fighter maintain its pace is the lead hero Hrithik Roshan, who reminds us what makes him a true-blue Bollywood superstar. His committment to making Patty’s journey feel personal is something the young blood should take a cue from. Deepika Padukone delivers in both the action and emotional scenes.
Watching her and Hrithik flirt in the first half is pure thrill and so is their delicious dance in the air. Karan Singh Grover and Sanjeeda Shaikh provide the right support to these able front-footers. The weakest link however is the villain Azhar Akhtar, played by Rishabh Sawhney. His nearly ironed hair and lip-glossed pucker seem too pretty to be menacing.
Fighter is a big-screen spectacle. When those birds soar high in the air, there is nothing that can take your eyes off the screen. Hrithik and Deepika set the screen on fire and I won’t be surprised if they become the go-to pair for big-ticket movies in the future. Siddharth Anand’s Fighter soars high on the entertainment quotient.
